Nothing of interest!

This book was not what I was expecting. The fast food restaurants that I frequent here in USA are not mentioned in the book. I was looking for specific menu items that I could order from different fast foode places. I think I misunderstood the title. If you are looking for this type of information, save your money because you won't find it in this book. It discusses in general terms basic convenience foods that you can buy. Definitely not what I was looking for.

I bought this book on the recommendation of my Doctor, as my blood glucose levels were slightly high. After 2.5 months I've lost 2 stone (16st to 14st..6 foot male), and my blood glucose levels are back in normal levels and I'm feeling better than I have for years.
It is the easiest diet to stick to, but you MUST read the science behind it before you start, if you understand the science you will find it easier to carry out this diet.
Another tip, you can't cheat, during the weight loss period, I cheated one day during the diet, and although I didn't put on weight, my weight stayed the same for a week after cheating one day. Apart from that I've lost 2-3 lbs a week and found it easy to stick to, you can basically eat what you want as long as you watch the carbs and the banned foods.

This is okay but not as expected. I already have the recipe book by the same author and guess I expected a little more from this edition. It doesn't particularly motivate you to follow the diet.

Not much info on how it works- I think that's in another book- but this really seems to work. 10 days in, 10lb down. I know it's probably just water so will be interested to see how it goes over next few weeks. Had been doing Dukan for nearly two years but had put on a few pounds over Christmas and because I was bored of the lack of daily veg on Dukan cruise it had crept up rather than coming off. Loving the vegetables, gives you flexibility and you look forward to each day's meals.
